In the aftermath of the Rockets' 109-91 victory over the Wizards, Rockets sophomore player Whitemoore spoke to the media about his new teammate, Sheppard.

"Sheppard is a jack of all trades, even on the defensive end. Despite not being the tallest player out there, he still manages to get steals and predict the opponent's passing lanes. He can finish, he can organize, he can do it all," Whitemoore said.

"Sheppard can even block shots. At just 6'1" or 6'2", he reminds me of a guard like Van Fleet," Whitemoore continued.

In the first two summer league games, Sheppard has averaged 22.5 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks per game. He has a shooting percentage of 56.3% and a three-point shooting percentage of 45.5%.
