Happy birthday to Jeremy Lin, who turns 36 today. Lin, born on August 23, 1988 in Palo Alto, California, is an American basketball player known for his career in the NBA.

Lin initially went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft but signed with the Golden State Warriors after the summer league. He went on to play for eight teams in the NBA, including the Warriors, Knicks, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, Hawks, and Raptors.

One of his most notable performances came during the 2011-2012 season when he played for the New York Knicks and became known for his incredible scoring ability, including a 38-point game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Throughout his NBA career, Lin played in 480 regular-season games, scoring a total of 5,567 points and averaging 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. In the 2019-2020 season, Lin joined the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and led the team to the semifinals of the playoffs. However, they were ultimately defeated by the Guangdong Southern Tigers, who became the champions.

On January 10, 2021, Lin signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors. He later announced his return to the Beijing Ducks on June 12, 2021. In September 2022, Lin signed with the Guangzhou Loong Lions.

On January 19, 2023, Lin announced his marriage in a lengthy post. Later that month, he signed with the Kaohsiung Steelers in the Taiwan Super Basketball League. On September 14, 2023, Lin announced his move to the New Taipei Kings. In the 2024 P.LEAGUE+ Finals, Lin led the New Taipei Kings to a 103-97 victory over the Taoyuan Pilots, winning the championship with a 4-1 series score.
